Labrador Harbor's success rate: 8/22/10

Since we began accepting applications in April of 2006, we have averaged helping one family per month with grants for medical care for their Labrador Retrievers. Our volunteers have helped to raise over $53,000 dollars and we have used over 94% of those funds to directly help over 195 families in California.

We sincerely thank all of our supporters, dedicated volunteers, and generous donors past and present for helping this organization grow. See our success stories.

Labrador Harbor Mission Statement -

•  To provide charitable funds to private citizens or non-profit rescue organizations that directly benefit the immediate physical well-being of Labrador Retrievers. These funds will help finance costs for medical intervention, surgery, after-care, hospitalization, rehabilitation, behavioral intervention, or other health related needs of the Labrador Retriever, in order to enhance quality of life, extend life expectancy, and/or prevent euthanasia due to inability to meet the costs of medical care. Upon application and approval, Labrador Harbor will disperse funds based on eligibility criteria and availability.

•  To provide appropriate referrals for health or behavioral care for Labrador Retrievers.

•  To encourage rescue organizations to accept into their care senior (age 7 or older) or medical needs Labs for rehabilitation and re-homing, by assisting with financial aid upon application and approval of funds.

•  To provide education and to inform the public about the responsible care and humane treatment of Labrador Retrievers.

Labrador Harbor is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.
